Updated (most) Tuesdays, this blog covers resources, both old and new, on Mexico's Second Empire. Why does this interest me? Because I wrote The Last Prince of the Mexican Empire (Unbridled Books, 2009), a novel based on the true story which was also published in Spanish as El último príncipe del Imperio Mexicano (Random House-Mondadori). As a result, I have at hand many books, articles, links, photos and more. I would like to share these, and a blog seems like a good way to do it. Read a more detailed welcome message here. Read more about my books, essays, articles, translations, podcasts, and writing workshops at my website, http://www.cmmayo.com/.
